Welcome to EGSC, one of the oldest swimming clubs in the country. Last year we celebrated our centenary by swimming 100 miles in 50 hours on East Grinstead High Street!
The club is friendly and competitive and has over 250 regular swimmers with ages ranging from 6 to 50 years old.
We place great emphasis on the teaching of swimming and the development of good technique. Swimmers are divided into ability groups starting with the pre-squad teaching group, progressing through to the various competitive squads, mini, bronze and senior.
From the age of 10+, all club swimmers are actively encouraged to enter galas and club members regularly compete in galas at the local, county, regional and in some cases national level.
In addition to individual galas, the club participates in the Sussex League and this year secured promotion to Division One following three emphatic wins during the 2012 season.
The club is always looking for new members to join our club and if you are interested, we would urge you to attend one of our regular assessment sessions which can be arranged by contacting our Membership Secretary.
The club would also like to thank the following families for sponsoring some of the races at this years championships.
Matia Tamale, Michael Turnbull, Hollie Sinden David, Ross Knight, Rebecca Stovell, Imogen Pierpoint, Robert and George Crook-Smith,
Antonia Major, Zane Kelbrick, Toby and Connie Penlington, Georgia Smith, Olivia Marsden, Grace Davies, Jake Newman, Isabel Harvey
Annabelle Bruning, Tallen Harris, Keira Narraway, Rebecca Frost, Elena Kent, Ben and Laura Howson.
A big thank you must go to Andy Rigg, the Committee and all our many parent volunteers who did such a teriffic job over the course of the championships. Without your help and support these events would not be possible.

Your captains are here to help you. If there is anything you want to know about swimming these are the people to help you.
Both have swum in lots of galas and league competitions and will be able to answer any questions that you have.
They are both in the Gold squad and swim on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
